Every once and a while we receive a request for a bid on a commercial project that has a scope for something we’ve never done before.
Here you’re looking at a stack “silencer”. The silencer is designed, well, to minimize stack noise. Due to noise complaints from neighbors in this thickly settled area, the client had a custom 4 feet tall 270 pound engineered structure manufactured, but they had no one to install it… that’s where we come in.
Our commercial team went to work collecting data and brainstorming on best possible installation solution. A custom piece was them measured and fabricated to transition from the original stack to new silencer and, with the assistance of a crane, installed seamlessly with supporting guide wires.
