Signs that Your Chimney is Leaking

Here are some of the common signs that your chimney has a leaking issue:

  • Dripping noises or water droplets
  • Smell of mold or mildew, especially when it is rainy
  • Water or condensation in your fireplace
  • Water stains near your chimney on the walls or ceiling
  • White staining, also known as efflorescence on your bricks
  • Cracked or spalled chimney masonry

  3. Bricks that are absorbing water
