Finally…It's Spring!
With Spring finally arriving to New England, it is a great time to do a spring sweeping of your chimney flue(s).
It has been a long, cold, snowy winter this year and you may have used your fireplace or woodstove more frequently than previous years. You know what that means….more creosote buildup!
Spring is an excellent time to have your chimney inspected and swept. There are many benefits in having the flues inspected and cleaned in the Spring. Schedule: We tend to get really booked up when the falls rolls around, booking now will offer scheduling flexibility.

Avoid that smoky smell when the humidity is high. During the summer months we get a lot of calls of homeowners complaining of “camp fire” fireplace odor. This is more common with the AC running on high for an extended period of time. Removing the creosote now can help alleviate that. Don’t forget a clean chimney is a green chimney!
Chimney cleanings can improve the functionality of your fireplace and prevent creosote buildup. Think don’t see the sooty build-up in the flue(s), doesn’t mean it isn’t there!
