Why Should I Clean My Chimney Now?
The Spring and Summer months are a busy time for all. Cookouts, pool parties and family trips can really have you pulled in every direction. The memories of hats and gloves are in the distant past, but should they be?
Heating season may be over, but don’t forget about that chimney!
There should be one more thing to do on your summer to-do list. That’s sweep your chimney! It happens, byproducts are left behind when you burn wood or heat with any type of solid fuel. The corrosive soot and ash is very acidic and can expedite deterioration. Having a regular maintenance program and removing the soot after every season helps ensure a healthy chimney system.
Don’t have that “cross-your-fingers” moment when the day comes to turn on your heat. Turn up that thermostat, give yourself a high 5 and go get cozy!
