The top part of a wooden chimney chase has a metal protective covering on top.  A lot of the time, we find this piece to be made of galvanized steel, and when it gets old, it rusts.  We can replace the chase cover with a new stainless steel covering that will continue to protect the top of the chimney, and will last a lifetime.
